About Corsicana Derrick Days
The purpose of the Derrick Days festival is:
1. To encourage civic spirit and unity through community-wide participation.
2. To help non-profit organizations to raise money by facilitating their operation of booths and other approved activities during the Festival.
3. To encourage the development of the talents of the citizens, especially the young people, through exhibitions and competition.
The Festival Committee is a non-profit, non-commercial, non-sectarian, non-partisan volunteer organization. The Festival operates under the principles of the City of Corsicana vision statement, which states, “Corsicana, Texas, will continue to grow, prosper and be recognized across the state as a city rich in heritage where community is as important as business, city events mean as much as city hall and our people’s accomplishments are the definition of our progress.”
